If the apartment is likely to be left empty for a prolonged period please note the following suggestions:
Electricity supply
The supply should be left on to maintain power to:
- Smoke and heat detector units
- The ventilation system
Water supply
Ensure all taps are turned off. The cold water supply may be turned off at the isolator valve located in the services cupboard.
Ventilation
Any ventilators should be left open and extract ventilation left running to maintain air flow and minimise the build-up of stale air and mould.
Security
Make sure that all doors and windows are secured.
Management Company
Advise the Management Company of the dates of absence and provide contact details for alternative key holders who can be contacted if necessary.
