Emergency

In the event of a medical emergency and you require ambulance transport, please telephone 999. For example, in the event of:

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Severe loss of blood
  • Severe burns and scalds
  • Choking
  • Fitting/convulsions
  • Drowning
  • Severe allergic reaction
  • Head injury

This list is not exhaustive.

Emergency defibrillator

Park Hill Estate is equipped with an emergency Defibrillator. It is mounted on the wall outside the Sales Office in The Cut.

Non-emergency

If the situation is not a life-threatening emergency and the patient does not need immediate medical attention, there are other NHS options available.

  • Self care
  • Pharmacy
  • GP
  • NHS 111

NHS 111

NHS 111 can provide medical help and advice when you have an urgent need which is not an emergency. Telephone 111.

The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can help you in these cases:

  • It is not a life-threatening situation and therefore is less urgent than a 999 call
  • You do not have a GP to call or a GP is not available
  • You feel that you cannot wait and are unsure of which service you require
  • You need health information or reassurance about what to do next

NHS 111 calls are answered by highly-trained health advisors, supported by experienced clinicians, who will assess your needs and determine the most appropriate course of action to help you.
